Trump 2016 election is a disgrace, but at least it makes historians jobs easier in giving an exact date to the fall of the American empire.

CNN: Miracle on the Hudson pilot 'Sully' Sullenberger blasts Trump over a report he disparaged fallen US service members

The pilot vaunted for his grace under pressure as he landed an airliner in the Hudson River called President Donald Trump "completely unfit" for office and urged people to "vote him out" in response to a report in The Atlantic magazine that the President disparaged US service members killed in battle and chose to skip a ceremony honoring veterans.

...Sullenberger has always "tried to be a voice of reason and to speak in a measured way," but he felt that he had to call out the President's behavior, he wrote. Trump has "completely failed" to uphold his oath of office and "he has admitted that he cannot comprehend the concept of service above self," the pilot wrote.

"He cannot understand selflessness because he is selfish. He cannot conceive of courage because he is a coward. He cannot feel duty because he is disloyal," Sullenberger wrote.

He concluded his post by arguing that "we owe it not only to those who have served and sacrificed for our nation, but to ourselves and to succeeding generations to vote him out." He posted similar comments to Twitter.

kingdragonfly: Since Trump, the Republicans and Fox News have and will be espousing that America was founded as a Christian nation

Decades of brainwashing thru indoctrination does this, and this goes back a long way further than Trump...

"In God We Trust" is our official motto, and you can trace the major brainwashing of the population by the military industrial complex, to the Cold War, and 1957 when that motto was added to all paper money by Eisenhower, during the Red Scare.  But not just for Christianity, but  to claim moral superiority while demonizing the communist atheist Soviet Union.

Placing “In God We Trust” on the U.S. dollar was a way to establish the United States as a Christian nation and differentiation from the enemy.

Surprising similarities between Caligula and Trump

-    Caligula was named for his ‘tiny boots’
-    Trump is known for his tiny hands
-    Caligula appointed a horse consul
-    Trump appointed a horse’s ass Attorney General
-    Caligula had a tyrant’s love of gold
-    So does Trump
-    Caligula enjoyed chariot races
-    Trump likes trucks!
-    Caligula promised to build a pointless bridge
-    Trump promised to build a pointless wall
-    Caligula cut taxes and increased debt
-    Guess what Trump did?
-    Caligula declared himself a god
-    Trump declared himself the chosen one
-    Caligula was a fan of incest
-
-    Some think Caligula was the worst Roman emperor of all
-    There is no question that Trump is the worst-ever president!
-    Caligula served four years before being murdered by his security
-    Trump has served almost four years…

Does it make me mean if I have no sympathy towards these people, especially since none of them were actually hurt? Betcha lots of them didn't wear lifejackets hah.

I know we're not supposed to broadly group Trump supporters as stupid, but come on, big boats sinking small boats with its wake? Could you get better symbolism?

These are old "stupid" videos, but I love them: https://twitter.com/notcapnamerica/status/1215689246381608961

Well, you have my full permission, so just mark your next post where you call Trump supporters 'stupid', for my eyes only. I won't tell 8-))

Note that the #Dumbkirk sinkings weren't from some sudden storm.
The weather was good, Trump morons on big fast boats created the wakes that sank the smaller boats of the less well-to-do.  Perhaps it was a subtle and ironic message from the invisible man in the sky.

I could only watch a minute of that hypocrisy. Though I did like one of the comments below the video:

Tony Satie Tony Satie 1 month ago (edited)

  • STOCKHOLM SYNDROME at its finest. Vote 2020...
  • The “billionaire” who hides his tax returns.
  • The “genius” who hides his college grades.
  • The “businessman” who bankrupted 3 casinos and lost over $1B in 10 yrs.
  • The “playboy” who pays for sех.
  • The “Christian” who doesn’t go to church.
  • The “philanthropist” who defrauds charity.
  • The “patriot” who dodged the draft.
  • The “innocent man” who refuses to testify.
  • The “President” who takes no responsibility.
  • The “tough, strong man“ who wears makeup and hairspray but never a mask.
  • The “deal maker” who has yet to close a deal.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I don't feel bad at all criticising Trump or his followers. The sooner he is gone the better. I pity Biden though - he will have one hell of a mess to clean up.

From today's Borowitz Report:

Trump Urged to Take Improv Class to Make His Invented Stories Richer in Detail

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald Trump should take an improv class to make the stories that he creates out of thin air richer in detail, a leading improv expert advised.

Harland Dorrinson, a founding member of Yes/And TheatreWorks, the legendary improv group in St. Louis, said that a grounding in improv would help Trump craft stories that “at least sound like they could be true.”
