Sad to see the lies in Trumps own campaign death throws.  Please please please old people vote for me me me

it was a blessing from God that I caught it.
I didn't have to go to Walter Reed, I could have stayed here but I listen to the professionals, I always listen to the doctors, I listen to what they tell me to do
Regeneron - its a therapeutic, no one knows how to define therapeutics - I call it a cure
we're going to get them to you, for free
I want all Americans to have access to what your President had access to
I heard about this drug, it was my idea, I said let me have it
I wanna get for you, what I got and make it free, you're not going to pay for it
It wasn't your fault that this happened, it was Chiiiiinaaas

However, I think that Biden should be making more of the possibility that Republicans will be going for fraudulent mail-in ballots, regardless of whether it's likely or not.

I hope the all more extreme "pro-life" folks are aware that the POTUS has been infused with the Regeneron monoclonal antibody cocktail that was developed using cultured cell lines from an aborted fetus.

I agree with everything @dclegg just said.

However, I think that Biden should be making more of the possibility that Republicans will be going for fraudulent mail-in ballots, regardless of whether it's likely or not.

Actually, if he talks about it enough, it might encourage Trumpers to try it on (if they're not already doing it), in which case GOP voting fraud could easily be decried as the cause of a possible Trump victory.

That seems like a risky strategy.

It seems probable that dedicated Trump voters are more likely to vote in person on election day, partly due to their passion for Trump, and partly due to buying the BS to downplay the severity of COVID-19. And if Trump's Supreme Court strategy is to ask that a significant portion of mail-in votes be disregarded, he won't care if any detected cases of fraud benefit him or the Democrats. The intent will be to have the in-person election day votes carry him to victory.

The Washington Post Newsletter - Coronavirus Updates: A contagious Trump sows chaos

today

In addition to bringing an active case of covid-19 back into to the White House, President Trump has spread fear and confusion throughout the executive branch since his return from the hospital. ...

Keeping up with the still-contagious president's movements around the White House somewhat resembles a hurricane-tracking effort.

Initially confined to the White House's residence complex upon his return Monday, Trump has gained access to the West Wing, where staffers have been advised to prepare.

A memo warned anyone who expects to be within six feet of the president to remove their outer clothes, sanitize their hands and don protective gloves, mask, eyewear and gown - all to be provided on an “Isolation Cart” kept outside Trump's zone of contagion.

Mid-level and junior staffers say they are scared  ...

I'm having trouble understanding the fuss over this supposed 'mail-in voting fraud' business.

Surely, if the problem actually exists, the GOP stand to gain as much benefit from it as the DEMs.

That would stand to reason, but as I understand it, the Republicans will have "poll watchers" (often armed, intimidating types) in place to scare off obviously Democratic (read "blacks, minorities, etc.") voters.

Mail-in voting by these Democratic voters mean these scary poll watchers will have less effect, hence the need to delegitimize mail-in votes in order to introduce enough doubt to call the whole thing into doubt.

I was referring to Russiagate, that the DNC started, and Hillary, Obama, Biden were all in on.

Oh that one - where the senate report very clearly stated:

The Committee found that the Russian government engaged in an aggressive, multi-faceted effort to influence, or attempt to influence, the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

The Committee wasn't commenting on that, because they didn't know about it, because they weren't shown these documents.

It wasn't a peaceful transition between administrations
Clinton with Obama, Bidens knowledge looped the Trump campaign into the Russiagate hoax conspiracy theory
Trump and his hanger-on-ers did themselves no favors by acting guilty and doing dodgy shady stuff
But career intelligence service officers advice was disregarded from the very beginning and classified away, out of sight, right from the start, because it didn't suit the Obama national security state regime narrative Susan Rice, James Comey, John Brennan
It was a tangled web

Now you guys laugh at me for calling that a Deep State, but that is a perfect example of what is going on here

How ridiculous is this.

With less than a month to go the election, the voting rules in many states are still being decided, are still the subject of court cases.

Mail in ballots - who gets them, and how they get them.

One would've thought "voting rules" would be something settled in stone by now... But they have to find ways to block voters...

Just by the by, after I looked at Freitasm's Job Growth pic, I wondered, being heretofore disinterested in US politics, exactly which Presidents were GOPs and DEMs.

So I marked them up.

Then wondered which presidents' Party had been responsible for creating the largest total of jobs.

DEM = 70M

GOP = 35M. Or, taking the Trump minus 4 into account, 31M.

EDIT: Oooops, just realised that I'd failed to assign a party status to Trump. Must have been a Fraudian slip.

The Washington Post - If Trump is trying to lose, it is working

today

The steady stream of coronavirus infections in the Trump administration confirms that the White House has become a superspreader site.

At the same time, President Trump continues to play down the severity of a pandemic that has taken 210,000 American lives and infected well over 7 million Americans. ...

There is no political payoff for this. With each new infected person, the perception of Trump as a menace to others grows.

Trump sent the stock market tumbling Tuesday with an announcement that he will not entertain stimulus plan negotiations until after the election.

The declaration left seasoned reporters flabbergasted. The move is both economically and politically ridiculous.

Advertising you are cutting off help to millions of Americans when your political opponents are trying to juice the economy might be Trump’s stupidest political move yet. ...

How do we explain Trump’s latest self-sabotage?

Some speculate that the president is sicker than he lets on or that his medication is interfering with his reasoning, but in fact these kind of defiant, self-destructive maneuvers have been a hallmark of his presidency. ...

If Trump were trying to lose and destroy the GOP, he would not be doing anything different.

Actually, they have been a hallmark of his catastrophic "business" career for the last 50 years.  😕

Brilliant.

I was just telling the kids the story of Midas the other day. I think they'll now understand "fecal Midas" :-)
