Long interesting read about a woman in Arizona who got sucked in by Trump's campaign of misinformation around election fraud, only to find out - after some of his self-sent "heavies" moved into her house for a few months, purportedly to provide "security" for her - that it actually was misinformation he was spreading, and none of it was true.

Two Florida men at The Villages admit to voter fraud in 2020 election - The Washington Post

Ketcik, a registered Republican, was among three Central Florida residents who had expressed support for former president Donald Trump before being arrested in December following reports that they cast more than one vote during the 2020 election, according to various Florida news media outlets.

Republicans are always projecting.

Isn't it funny (one might say ironic) that the group of people jumping up and down screaming election fraud...are the same ones actually committing the fraud???

The Republicans signal they're pulling out of debates because of "bias" and things are unfair. Playing victim much?

Vanity Fair: Of course Trump endorsed a GOP candidate accused of groping more than half a dozen women

Donald Trump isn’t great at a lot of stuff (running successful companies, responding to global pandemics, speaking his native language), but one thing he absolutely excels at is endorsing horrible people for office. Since 2016, a who’s who of Trump-backed candidates has included
  • Roy “Reportedly Banned From the Mall” Moore;
  • Lauren “I’ll Carry My Glock to Congress” Boebert;
  • Herschel “If Evolution Is Real, Why Do Apes Still Exist?” Walker;
  • Ron “Don’t Say Gay” DeSantis;
  • Mehmet “Have Some Snake Oil” Oz;
  • Matt “Human Trafficking Is Fine” Gaetz; and
  • Mary “Hitler Actually Had a Good Idea” Miller.
In October, a guy running for Nebraska governor named Charles Herbster got himself added to the list, and if you’re wondering what terrible traits Trump saw in him, it seems that they were an interest in helping overturn the 2020 election and a habit of allegedly groping women.

The Nebraska Examiner reported on Thursday that eight women said Herbster “groped them,” ...

I guess everyone's heard that Gilbert Gottfried died. If you only know him as the voice of Iago from Disney Pictures "Aladdin", and never heard him do stand-up comedy, let me be the first to warn you, his offensive humor is legendary.

It's absolutely not-safe-for-work; It's absolutely not safe to watch him perform with anyone under 18; It's not safe watch if you've ever been offended by a comedian.

Compare to Gilbert, Ricky Gervais tells dad jokes.

I'm not linking to the Youtube video, but you can search for "The Harshest Burns from the Roast of Donald Trump"

The roast was before Trump became President.

At the 5:30 minute mark Gilbert roasts Donald Trump, with deaf actress Marlee Matlin. The Comedy Central clip cuts out half his performance, because it gets pretty rough.

Interesting (and lengthy) interview with a professor who studies authoritarians where she predicts how it could end for Trump.

Salon: Trump brags about his relationship with Putin as Fox News airs images of body bags in Ukraine

...Trump appeared on Fox News with conservative host Sean Hannity. As the network shared images of body bags sprawled on the ground in Ukraine following Russia's invasion, the former president said, "I knew Putin very well. Almost as well as I know you, Sean."

He continued, "I will tell you, we talked about it, we talked about it a lot, he did want Ukraine, but I said, 'You're not going into Ukraine.' He would never, ever have gone into Ukraine."

Later in the segment, Hannity asked ... "I asked you the last time you were on, whether you think that this is evil in our time," [previous interview Trump evaded Hannity's question]

Instead of offering a direct answer to Hannity's question [again], Trump simply pivoted into a distorted rant about the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). "Don't forget, I rebuilt NATO," Trump falsely claimed.

The Washington Post - Opinion: Promotion of Trump’s ‘big lie’ is costing Fox News

09 March 2022

Fox News is paying the price for its obeisance to former president Donald Trump.

In December, a Delaware judge ruled that the $1.6 billion defamation suit filed by voting-tech firm Dominion Voting Systems could proceed.

And on Tuesday, New York state Judge David B. Cohen issued a similar ruling in a $2.7 billion case filed by voting systems firm Smartmatic.

Both firms were smeared as part of Fox News’s promotion of Trump’s "big lie" that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him - and that the companies were part of the fraud.

Not specifically about Trump, although he did endorse her:

Could Sarah Palin pull off a win in Alaska? A lot of locals don't think so - most of them are really unhappy that she just up and left halfway through her term as Governor, without even seeing it to the end.
