So she makes endless mistakes and missteps and breaks promises like it's a going out of fashion, and it barely registers in the polls, but she makes a very simple comment about * rumours* and gets a poll bump. Amazing.

The latest polls show a next to nothing drop compared to what might have been reasonably expected. 5 points or less.

Are you seeing something different? It was entirely absorbed by the Greens and NZF

Well, Winston was making a 'fan' of me. He did this by not opening his mouth and staying out of sight. A silent Winston is my favorite type.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the very first thing he has said in months, is to get involved in something that has NOTHING to do with him. He wades in on dirty politics as it relates to Gayford rumors. Does anyone care about Winstons opinion on this? Of all the things he COULD have said, this is what he felt the best use of his time was?

Also, I see Jacinda has bestowed extra responsibilities on Shane Jones. Given he has been doing such an outstanding job with the ones he has already got, seems like a great leadership move to give him even more.

Brilliant! /s

Winston cares. He’s the most important thing in the world, according to him - and probably his mum.

Ardern hard at work for New Zealand. Wait a minute.. Darby is doing all the hard work here.

It's almost as if our prime minster thinks this is a trivial matter of no importance. Key would have taken this far more seriously. Wearing the flag on a catwalk for example. There's just no comparison.

Grrrrrr. The word is "something", not "somethink".

I saw this "Government Scorecard" recently.  It's an interesting (to me at least) way of presenting the information.

Under target  PROMISED / DELIVERED

Kiwibuild Homes:  100,000 / 18

Heating & Insulation grants:  600,000 / 0

Immigration:  -30,000 / +10,000

Trees:  1,000,000,000 / 3

Winter Energy grant: 1 / 0

Over target  PROMISED / DELIVERED

Working groups:  2 / 80

New Taxes:  1 / 3

Farm stock caps: 0 / 1

I am sure with some research there would be plenty more. I think maybe National should pay for some billboards to go up all over NZ. Seems that despite the bad press, most people aren't really paying attention.

If a CEO or Stock Exchange Listed company performed this poorly, their share price would be in the toilet, and the CEO would have been asked to step down by the board.

Interesting to see they have delayed the winter heating grant until next financial year starting July 2018.

I'd say less "interesting" and more "more of the same".

I think Jacinda is doing great but I wish she wouldn't spend time with ex Potus 'Toastmaster' president & HRC. One Clinton president was bad enough for American workers. If HRC had become president would she have done anything for the rust belt states - I don't think so?

What do you think she is doing great at? I ask in genuine interest because a) I disagree entirely and completely and b) I meet a lot of people and very few think that.

Heh, who would have thought Mallard would be "condescending". He would be one of the last politicians I could imagine selecting as speaker of the house.

It's kinda interesting for the police to do this. Almost unprecedented. Public interest was cited as the reason. Why would this be of public interest? They say they didn't consult him prior, but how likely is this? It feels like someone felt compelled to come to his rescue.
