kingdragonfly: Looks like all the ceremony of opening a new parking lot. Where's the giant scissors, or gold shovel?

Or the hundreds of adoring fans, dressed up in their ridiculous red hats? I would have thought he would have taken a few along with him to show that "everyone loves me"?

What am I saying, that would cost him something financially, so he wouldn't do it. He looks pathetic. Who is the woman in between him and his son? Kimberly what's-her-face?

https://newrepublic.com/post/172298/fox-poll-shows-republicans-brutal-2024-election

All these are factors that could potentially influence the election next year.

What I find more interesting is that was a poll run by Fox News, an almost exclusively Republican-friendly media outlet.

“I’ve been watching the censorship happening, even in conservative mainstream media”

It's a battle of mob bosses, Murdoch versus Trump, and you committed with unforgivable sins of pulling Murdoch into the public's vision.

Also you committed the worst reality-TV crime of all, you're a boor.

Today a text was released by formerly Fox News Tucker Carlson's recently publicized text. The text was written a day after the attempted coup.

Jan 7 2021: "A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living shit out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously.

It’s not how white men fight.

Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it...."

I wonder if other recently publicized Fox News tidbits will come into play in Trump's trials.

That's what I thought as well, it's the senile granddad being humoured by this week's rostered members of his family. Was that really the entire attendance?

My take on it: unless Trump brought his own rent-a-crowd with him, that probably was it - I know the locals where his golf course is in Scotland absolutely detest him.

The Scottish Golf courses lose millions per year.

Suspiciously Trump funded two Scottish golf resorts, Turnberry and Aberdeenshire with cash only. He also purchased his Irish golf course in Doonbeg with cash only.

Money laundering, anyone?

PAC funds and give little or much plus NFTS and all money he owes to lawyers.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

That's racist KKK nutjob level racism regardless of the content. The last part is just plain sick in anyone's language. The two combined is nightmare level.

The NY Times - Why Trump Won’t Let Go of His Dream of Domination

May 3, 2023

Throughout his life - in his overlapping business, TV and political careers - Donald Trump has attempted to portray himself as what is conventionally known as an alpha male. ...

Steven Pinker, a professor of psychology at Harvard, described one way of looking at Trump:

"Trump is a cartoon of an alpha-male wannabe, including the ruff of hair to exaggerate his height, his oversize phallic necktie, his defensiveness about the size of his hands and boast about the size of his genitals, his exaggeration of his height in his official biography, his looming behind Hillary Clinton during their presidential debate, his bizarre objection to her taking a middebate break, and his hair-trigger reaction to slights and challenges."

"No U.S. president in recent memory, and perhaps none ever, has tapped so effectively into the primal psychology of dominance. None has so effectively cultivated an authoritarian dynamic with his followers."

Dan P. McAdams, a professor of psychology at Northwestern, sees Trump a bit differently:

"Trump’s behavior in office - from his aggressive morning tweets to the cabinet meetings he held in which obsequious beta males, like the vice president and attorney general, engaged in elaborate rituals of submission in the presence of their alpha - mirrors closely the tactics of domination and intimidation exhibited by alpha chimps in chimpanzee colonies."

"Trump’s unique personality profile - the high extroversion and low agreeableness, the narcissistic motivations, the “warrior” life story seems perfectly suited to assume the authoritarian mantle at a time in American history when many Americans crave the security and exult in the excitement that such a mantle seems to confer."

Vanity Fair: Donald Trump Once Again Claims He’s Been Treated Worse Than a President Who Was Very Famously Assassinated

There are a few things that most people tend to think of when they think of Abraham Lincoln. The Gettysburg Address, for one. The Civil War, for another. And, of course, the fact that the 16th president of the United States was famously assassinated by actor John Wilkes Booth while taking in a play with his wife. Now, Donald Trump doesn’t know a lot—basic English, science, math, and large parts of history, in particular, elude him—but we’re guessing he does know how Lincoln was killed. Which makes his recent comments about the 16th president pretty bizarre (and yet, still trademark Trump).

Speaking to Mark Levin for an interview that aired Sunday night on Fox News, the ex-president decided, for some reason, to rank US presidents according to who had been treated most unfairly. Was it Andrew Jackson? “They said such horrible things [about Andrew Jackson],” Trump claimed, failing to note that those horrible things might have to do with Jackson’s history of ethnic cleansing. But no, the former guy does not believe Andy J. had it the worst off. How about Lincoln? Trump conceded that Lincoln was “vilified” as well. But you know what? Lincoln apparently still didn’t have it as bad as 45, even despite the the hole someone literally put through his head.

A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by former US President Donald Trump against the New York Times.

Trump changes his mind, and now wants to angrily confront rape victim in front of jury. Please do. I'm sure it'll add a couple of zeros to the end of the settlement, and embolden other victims to file their own suits.

Irish Mirror: Donald Trump in Ireland: Former US president rants about allegations during Clare visit
...
When asked if he will attend the trial, he said that he will "probably attend".
...
"It’s a disgrace. It’s called false accusations against a rich guy. Or, in my case, a famous, rich and political person who is leading the polls by 40 points.

"I am going to go back and I’m going to confront this woman. This woman is a disgrace and it shouldn’t be allowed to happen in our country."

Mr Trump continuously referenced his golf skills and the fact that President Biden cannot "hit a ball 50 yards".

“This is a political attack. This is the only way they think they can win the election because they’re losing.
