Banned because on top of the warning there's the image above.

And will F99 get banned as well for posting the same kind of pictures as Jimsonweed.

JW was banned for trolling F99, who was the 'victim'.

Thank goodness that sanity and civility has been resumed with the banning of JW.

freitasm: Don't go there. He was banned for all the trolling, calling people names. The picture called people idiots. And he sent me an email calling me a Nazi.

His true colours showed through and he lasted here as much as he could.

If you have a problem with this let me know.

I'll just add...
It's fine to have different views. And I encourage discussion.
But being straight up rude and nasty is not what we are about here.

Only a few days now until we see just what kind of a man Trumpy and his team prove to be.

It's a very strange world, IMO, where optimists and supporters are hoping that "things probably won't be as bad <as Trump promised>".

It will be 2 weeks or so before we get a feel. Its not about the talk, its about the action, or the promises of action, but his promises dont carry any weight based on what Ive seen so far.

I'll put my hand up that it won't be as bad. Too much talk, too little action, GOP will wantg to manage him through topics he has no experience with

The buck stops on the 20th, talk dont matter no more!

Talk matters a whole lot, especially if you are President. Markets rise and crash just on a sentence from the President.

Yes, that can and will happen, as will his off the cuff ramblings that the CIA have ticked him off about. But its merely loudmouth talk, not real talk, not from a real man, with real knowledge and real power. His talk is heavily laden with secret laughter from those abroad. The extent that markets will react will soon temper to murmurs as its all bluster.

How the GOP handles Trump over the course of his presidency will be very much dependant on public opinion, so I don't agree that talk doesn't matter any more.

Notably, Trump, Pence, Melania Trump all have approval ratings which are much lower than their predecessors.

Notable also that for example, approval rating for Obama at inauguration by Republicans was 60%.  Approval rating for Trump by Democrats is 8%.

That suggests a very deeply divided America.

The inauguration and days following will be interesting.  There are going to be large protests, how large - nobody knows.  How "peaceful" - nobody really knows either.  If those protests do turn ugly, then how that's handled will be critical - else if the US is divided now, it'll only get worse.

At 1 minute past noon, Trump will be Commander-in-Chief and the tanks will move in. It has happened before.

Phone alert. Here is the title, haven't read it, no real need to

First on CNN: Trump's cabinet pick invested in company, then introduced a bill to help it

Apparently unnecessary - "Bikers for Trump" claim that they've got 5000 members who'll be there to provide a "wall of meat" to "help" keep protestors in order.

My talk commenst were more along the lines of talk or action. Its been talk to now, no ability for action, thats starts on the 20th

I feel the day will be rough, very rough, protest-wise

Yes its divided, it was before as well. Blame rests with those that protest voted him in, and with GOP allowing him to be a candidate. Its possible that this analagous long time deep seated wound that will start bleeding badly, will be repaired. In other words, a blowout of emotion, that may help someone to take over from Trump and get the citizens back on track and more focussed.  They are a highly patriotic lot, which backfires in bad times. Or it could go back to the riots of the 60's or whenever that was

OR deep annoyance is everywhjere but the US goes on, and prior to next election Trump gets dumped or forced to step down, hopefully a new leader will galvanise the past year or three, but its anybody's guess.

OR It may well be just another four year term of bluster, little action and he's out

I hope there won't be violence.

I don't have optimism that America could come of of a really nasty Trump experience united.  IMO Obama was probably as good as it could ever get in terms of an intelligent, eloquent, respectful, well-reasoned voice for uniting America (and that after turmoil of the GFC, post 9/11 etc - things were genuinely not very good in very serious ways when he was appointed).

Then look what's happened.
