Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

The destruction of the American education system, that once Made America Great, is and will NOT Make America Great Again

I have no idea what Trump consciously thinks he's doing, but his subconscious aim is clear: destroy the USA.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

The Venezuelan community in the United States, which largely supported the Republican, is disappointed by the new administration’s policies against them, especially the withdrawal of protection for exiles

LOL! Like you think he ever gave a crap about you, or anyone but himself? As awful as it sounds, you reap what you sow!

In English: "He threw us under the bus"

In Spanish, there's no exact word-for-word equivalent of "He threw us under the bus," but there are several slangy or idiomatic expressions that capture the same meaning—betraying someone or making them take the fall to save yourself.

Actuaba como nuestro amigo, pero nos clavó el puñal por la espalda.

He acted like our friend, but he stabbed us in the back.

Cuando hablaron con el jefe, nos vendió para quedar bien él.

When they talked to the boss, he sold us out to make himself look good.

Él tuvo la culpa, pero nos echó la culpa a nosotros.

When we needed him most, he let us down.

Other Spanish slang for Hispanic voters, to repeat at the next election, before voting Republican

A cada cerdo le llega su San Martín.

"Every pig gets its Saint Martin’s day." (It refers to the day pigs are traditionally slaughtered.)

Is the Rio Grande Valley Just Lost Now to Democrats?: The New Republic
...
an article from a year ago
...
It is no surprise that immigration has become the hottest issue of the 2024 election. National polls show Americans increasingly favor the border wall and tougher immigration laws. A recent New York Times/Siena College survey of six battleground states showed 53 percent of respondents favored the border wall, compared with 44 percent who opposed it.

In the Rio Grande Valley, where opposition to the wall had been strong, support has doubled since 2018, according to a study by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Trump is almost certain to win Texas, where no Democrat has won statewide office since 1994 and no Democratic presidential candidate has won since Jimmy Carter in 1976. Trump could win the valley too. He made inroads there in the 2020 election, though he lost to Biden. But this year, the valley is in play.
...
The valley’s Republican turnout in 2022 midterms more than doubled from 2018, according to The Texas Tribune. Democrats maintained a higher turnout, but the GOP narrowed the gap.

In Starr County, west of Hidalgo, where Hillary Clinton beat Trump in 2016 by 60 percentage points, Trump lost to Biden in 2020 by just 5 percent. “I do believe that there was an uptick in voters that voted for Trump in 2020,’’ said State Representative Terry Canales, 45, a Democrat who grew up on a ranch and owns 350 head of cattle, more than 50 horses, and over 600 guns. “Trump is an anomaly. I think that anybody, politically, would agree with me, that he’s completely different than any candidate that you’ve ever seen. Trump says, does, and acts in ways that you’ve never seen any candidate act. What I can tell you is that you can attribute that phenomenon to him. So there was growth in Republican numbers. It was because of him.”

I did with my Phone, iPad, and laptop.

Backed them up, erased them before I went to the ISA last year.

I would be encouraging him to go elsewhere though....

It's a school trip, he didn't decide the destination. This was all arranged before the orange buffoon won the election last year 😕

I think I'll have to do the same thing with his devices too. Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age that the leader of the free world is such a frikken' snowflake when it comes to criticism 🙄

Stories like this don't exactly fill me with confidence either: https://apnews.com/article/border-tourists-german-canadian-detention-immigration-408cd27338e8065268fabc835f8b0c34

How long until tourists just decide to bypass the US altogether and go somewhere else instead? In all seriousness - with all the problems America has going on right now, this is the crap he chooses to focus on???

Another, uh, "interesting" week, here's some cartoons for you.

Speaking of the ridiculous deportation nonsense above:

President Musk:

(It was actually Musk that made the woodchipper comment, but I'm sure the orange buffoon was 100% behind him - he did buy him the election, after all):

And finally, fair comment:

Elon Musk threatens Pentagon leakers after New York Times report on secret China war briefing: Politico.EU

Donald Trump’s top adviser Elon Musk has openly threatened Pentagon employees who may have leaked information that the tech billionaire was due to get a briefing on a potential American war with China.

The story, published by the New York Times on Thursday evening U.S. time, said that — according to anonymous American officials — the Pentagon planned to brief Musk on Friday about the U.S. military’s plan for any war that might break out with China.

After the story went live, the planned meeting was confirmed by Pentagon officials and President Trump — but both denied that the session would discuss military plans involving China.

“China will not even be mentioned or discussed,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform. “How disgraceful it is that the discredited media can make up such lies. Anyway, the story is completely untrue!!!”

Trump’s comments were then reposted on X by Musk, who called the New York Times “pure propaganda” and issued a threat, saying he looks “forward to the prosecution of those at the Pentagon who are leaking maliciously false information to NYT.”

“They will be found,” the tech billionaire warned.

The New York Times report that infuriated the White House emphasized that such a briefing by the Pentagon would expand Musk’s already wide-ranging role, and would highlight questions about potential conflicts of interest, as Musk reaches deep into the federal bureaucracy while continuing to run his companies like SpaceX, a major government contractor, and doing business in China.

Elon Musk meets defence officials in Pentagon visit: BBC News
...
As Musk departed the defence secretary's office reporters asked him about the meeting.

"It's always a great meeting. I've been here before, you know," he said before departing the Pentagon.

The public back-and-forth about the meeting follows a New York Times report that Musk would learn about the China war plan during his Pentagon visit.

But NBC News and Politico later reported the Pentagon meeting would involve unclassified information.

An unnamed US official told Reuters that the briefing would be an overview of several topics that included China.

Trump said the New York Times reported "incorrectly, that Elon Musk is going to the Pentagon tomorrow to be briefed on any potential 'war with China.' How ridiculous? China will not even be mentioned or discussed. How disgraceful it is that the discredited media can make up such lies. Anyway, the story is completely untrue!!!"

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth also denied the New York Times report, saying in a post on X "this is NOT a meeting about 'top secret China war plans.' It's an informal meeting about innovation, efficiencies & smarter production".

Asked by reporters about the meeting on Friday, Trump said: "We don't want to have a potential war with China, but I can tell you if we did, we're very well equipped to handle it."

Trump continues "But I don't want to show it to anybody. You wouldn't show it to a businessman Elon has businesses in China, and he would be susceptible perhaps to that"

Tesla, Musk's electric vehicle company, has two facilities in Shanghai, China. Starlink and SpaceX, two of Musk's companies, also have contracts with the Pentagon.

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/20/europe/french-researcher-expelled-trump-intl-latam/index.html?iid=cnn_buildContentRecirc_end_recirc

However, Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement Thursday that “any claim that his removal was based on political beliefs is blatantly false.”

“The French researcher in question was in possession of confidential information on his electronic device from Los Alamos National Laboratory — in violation of a non-disclosure agreement — something he admitted to taking without permission and attempted to conceal,” she said.

Oh, oh, I see. The French guy apparently got it wrong, it wasn't because of his political views now. But. How many times has the orange buffoon and his minions lied again? Must be up to 6 figures by now?

Sorry but I'd believe the French over anything the Trump administration says.
