It's a no-brainer when your Dear Leader is a narcissist, propose something like this and, whether it fails or succeeds, you've won favour.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and get my boy a US passport? He does have citizenship, after all...

Gawd, the poor guy.  A friend of mine is in this position by dint of being unexpectedly born there and, despite never having been back since, has the USG take a portion of his income as taxes, open access to his financial records, etc.

If you friend hold a US citizenship, remind your friend to fill in anti-money laundering form every year, the "FBAR"

Not doing it minimum penalty is $10,000 per year.

The maximum is 50% of all money in bank accounts, plus $250,000 fine. Up to 5 years in prison.

Worldwide banks allow the US government to "attach" bank accounts without notification, before, during and after. It's the same for almost all countries in the world

"Attach" means to legally claim or freeze someone's assets. Your bank account is frozen, and funds taken to pay off the tax debt.

You won’t be able to access the money until the issue is resolved.

The exception is North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Russia , Belarus, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Central African Republic, South Sudan.

You are guilty until proven innocent. There is no "due process" for attaching accounts.

Perhaps a good inscription for a monument to Trump: "Don't hitch your wagon to a wild horse."

So Trump releases a tweet to boost his $Coin grift for another rug pull, to cheat his followers.
In the style of many Presidents (Not)

A one dollar or so bounce, hardly visible on the price graph.
Never the less if it gets any traction, it will just get rugged anyways.

At least when Elon Musk called his faithful to buy Tesla stock, they have turned out to a degree.
In contrast to.
His fellow board members including his brother and CFO had sold significant shares at peak.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson said after September, everyone from Canada will need to enter one half of a border-straddling library via a formal border crossing.

The spokesperson said the library has witnessed a "continued rise in illicit cross-border activity." CBP did not specify the nature of the illicit activity.

Then another spokesperson, this time from the a Department of Homeland Security, said the U.S. was responding to drug trafficking.

"Drug traffickers and smugglers were exploiting the fact that Canadians could use the U.S. entrance without going through customs. We are ending such exploitation by criminals and protecting Americans," the statement said.

Different department, same story: The Department provided no evidence of drug trafficking or smuggling.

That's standard playbook stuff.  Same with anti-trans-in-sports legisation in Retrumplican states, the people pushing for it in the state legislature have very consistently been unable to demonstrate any cases where it's actually been a problem.

Focusing on anti-bogeyman legislation does nicely distract from egg prices and other things though.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/world-news/360626712/donald-trump-demands-governor-remove-bad-picture-him

Donald Trump has called for the removal of a “bad picture” of him from the Colorado state capital building.

The US president criticised the portrait in a post on the online platform Truth Social on Monday.

“Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado… was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before,” Trump said.

Such a snowflake! Such an important issue to be worried about! 😆

Well I agree, I think they should use this portrait of him instead:

I think the artist has perfectly captured the essence of Trump in that portrait.

Actually, Trump's correct about the 2019 portrait's "distortion". He looks almost human.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

Who needs spies when you got Trump?

Pete Hegseth, the secretary of defense was a Fox News host, with allegations of sexual assault and alcohol abuse.

Only the brightest and best.

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans: The Atlantic

U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

The world found out shortly before 2 p.m. eastern time on March 15 that the United States was bombing Houthi targets across Yemen.

I, however, knew two hours before the first bombs exploded that the attack might be coming. The reason I knew this is that Pete Hegseth, the secretary of defense, had texted me the war plan at 11:44 a.m. The plan included precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.
