Any British passport holder can vote in this referendum:

Prevent Donald Trump from making a State Visit to the United Kingdom.

"Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen."

I feel better already    wink

Me too, its all happening. He had his chance, but he blew it. I predict that Republican senators will come out in support, one by one, two by two. Will Don crack, or will he fight to the last moment. If he wants to salvage some small part of this 10 days, he needs to do it now.

It is, this is not a 5 person company. She is the AG, says the ban is not legal or constitutional. Trump knows better so he fires her for not supporting his legal ban

Yeah, he would know better

Its up to the GOP now, they could impeach him if his support on the right continues to decline. It seems Rex Tillerson and Madis are already disappointed at the latest move, he's losing points from his own administration. If they consider him too rogue they will probably look at replacing him with a puppet.

Trump meeting the Queen is meaningless.  She's officially met with some of the worst tyrants to plague the planet during her reign, so if Trump thinks he's being "honored" - he's mistaken.  Unfortunately the celebrity focused US media and public may not see it that way.

Hence there's a point to an otherwise pointless referendum in the UK to "Ban Trump" - to send the signal that Trump is greatly disliked.

It may not be meaningless, she will say what needs to be said, she wont serve tea and scones and smile.

She will have tea served, make polite conversation, and smile - that's her job - the same as she's done when meeting awful people on official visits in the past.

She won't say "what needs to be said" at all, except in her duty to keep her nose completely out of politics, she'll try to be polite.

Neither did she suddenly get the idea that meeting with Trump was a great idea and make arrangements.  She has no say - and no choice.

The Trump "government" (more like the Trump Circle) is ignoring the courts in the US at the moment, and have been firing anyone that could/would/have spoken out against them that they can fire.

Its beginning to look a lot like a coup d'état. The US is looking more and more like a banana republic.

It is fun.i expected him to be lousy, mess things up, upset people, but not this much this soon. He isn't rally a threat, he is proving that. GOP will be waiting for the right mix, when enough voters cry out in shame, then they will move in.

But I'm unsure what the average republican supporter thinks so far

Coup for him? He got voted in legally by the people. But I expect he will be couped out. When the citizens start protesting about him, not the ban, about him.

The GOP is letting him sail for now. They want him to mess up big time and later get Pence to takeover.

Pop that in the character reference section of the job application to get a few bonus stars.

So what's the American public reaction? Of him, not the 1. Ban 2. Firing 3 TBA
