This maniac would be right at home working for Putin.

Ben Gvir forms police team targeting left-wing activists in the West Bank - report | The Times of Israel

In other words Security Minster Ben Gvir will use police to harrass and arrest Israeli Jews who document extremist settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Palestinian Israelis in Israel.

Whatever his goon squad is called does make them sound a lot like Russia's OMON.

People criticise the Serbs for not being able to let go of the 1389 Battle of Kosovo, but Israel's chief warmonger is still trying to redo conflicts from the Bronze Age.

This must be a first. The US hasn't even done this with any of Putin's war machine.

Several outlets are reporting Netzah Yehuda is an ultra-orthodox unit. That is misleading. The vast majority of ultra-orthodox refuse military service. So:

Axios: the unit stationed in the West Bank became a destination for many "Hilltop Youth" — young radical right wing settlers who weren't accepted into any other combat unit in the IDF.

This unit now numbering over 1000 operated for 20 years in the occupied West Bank.

I wonder if Netanyahu ever reads these stories and feels even the slightest pang of guilt. Probably not.

That ain't right, man. One person dead, another serious injured, and you're here lamenting the fact there wasn't another death?

I generally expect better from GZ, that's low.

He's the lowest of the low and yes I think it's a shame he wasn't another fatality.

On the eve of Netanyahu's expected Rafah operation Sheryl Sandberg's documentary release. Extreme trigger warnings apply. The events described and testimony are physically sickening.

The people who committed these acts are war criminals. Any commanders who did not intervene in these acts are war criminals. If these acts were planned at command level or in any way encouraged then the people who did so are war criminals.

The vast majority of people in Gaza genuinely cannot and do not believe these acts were committed by Hamas members. To most people in Gaza Hamas is the guy that prays every day at each time, helps his neighbours, builds mosques, distributes charity. That guy didn't do this and cannot have done this.

Hideous war crimes by military cannot be used to justify another hideous military war crime. International law is robust and should be applied and not stalled by any government for strategic advantage.

I seem to remember reading that when Hamas ejected the PLA from Gaza in about 2006 they threw PLA members from the tops of tall buildings.

They don't deserve any sympathy whatsoever for what happens to them during the Israeli assaults.

But everyday Gazans do deserve our sympathy. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place - the IDF and Hamas.

Investigative work on some of Netanyahu's claims about October 7th reveals some discrepancies.

The Government of Israel under Netanyahu has many features in common with Trump's government with spokespeople making unsupported claims and various attempts to get around the judiciary and normal legal processes to achieve political objectives associated with Netanyahu's survival in office.

Edit: Imo the video has a silly title page which does not describe the quality of the content.
