Bannon is now trying to crabwalk away from his remarks. Not only is he an evil scumbag, but also a cowardly hypocrite.

Technically he just regrets saying the things he said on record. Not that he is sorry. The press release is a number of carefully worded talking points.

Regarding the Trump advisor just mentioned, Stephen Miller, who was was abruptly kicked off of Jake Tapper’s State of the Union show on CNN for refusing to properly answer his questions.

Someone discovered an old tweet by the infamous KKK grand wizard David Duke.

Stephen, who is Jewish, "liked" it.

I've heard of self-hatred, but this is ridiculous.

Well his output is low, so I guess his input can roll back too!

The Guardian - Donald Trump mounts extraordinary defence of his 'mental stability'

The White House press secretary, Sarah Sanders, has said Trump will undergo his annual physical examination on Friday 12 January. The results are due to be made public.

Note the term"physical examination".

This does not necessarily include a psychiatric assessment, which may be just as relevant as Trump's poor physical condition.

Is Trump mentally fit? Don't count on his physical to tell you

If President Donald Trump were any other 71-year-old - covered by Medicare and having his annual wellness visit - he'd be checked on his cognitive functions and possible safety risks.
But when the president goes for his physical exam Friday, the White House said his mental fitness won't be tested.
And there's no guarantee that the public would find out the results of cognitive tests if Trump were to take them. ...

That decision concerns physicians and public health experts who say Trump should be assessed the same way as other elderly Americans, particularly given his globe-shaping job and his control of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

"A physical tends to be exactly that - a physical," said Arthur Caplan, a bioethicist at the NYU School of Medicine.
"They're not really oriented toward the big question that people want to ask about Trump: Are you mentally there? Are you cognitively able to function?"

Checking cognitive functions as a one-off (without some kind of baseline) is almost completely hopeless for diagnosis - especially with someone who may be hostile to the assessment.  Even with a baseline and evidence of some cognitive decline and/or with CT/MRI scans showing lesions or alzheimer's pattern atrophy, it's effectively useless prognostically.

I have no expectation that there will be much at all made public about his (lack of good) mental and physical health.

Narcissistic lying bullies like Trump can live to a ripe old age, even overweight unhealthy-looking specimens addicted to Macca's.  Sad!

Any reasonable person who found that they needed lots of "executive time" - when they're clearly floundering in a demanding job - might consider that it's time to step down.

Trump however seems to think he's like Warren Buffet (or more probably an old scrote like Rupert Murdoch).

Thanks Fred99.

Seems that 'Freedom Of The Press' has become 'Freedom To Oppress'.

That's a good read, but shouldn't we expect America to be better than the likes of Turkey, Russia, Myanmar, China and Egypt?  It's vaguely possible that UN sanctions against North Korea has driven it to apparently scale back its rhetoric, so why haven't equally stringent sanctions been imposed on Myanmar for its blatant ethnic cleansing?  I somehow can't imagine sanctions working with China

My guess would be that KJU is now confident his missiles work end to end - if not the ones that can hit the US, then at least the ones that can hit Japan or SK - and therefore he knows he can speak softly while carrying his big stick.
