kingdragonfly: 'That just made no sense': Mika reacts to Trump's bizarre speech in Detroit

Trump's dementia is progressing rapidly, as it did for his father at the same age.

This will be obvious to anyone familiar with dementia, but is it obvious to Trump's cult members?

I fear not.  🙄

If Trump wins the election, his appalling Vice President will have to take over at short notice.

They are going to have fun trying to persuade the demented one that he is demented and should stand down.

Indeed. That would be the ultimate example of  "the lunatics have taken over the asylum."

wiki - The inmates are running the asylum is:

A reference to the 1920 film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
A reference to 1989 cult film Dr. Caligari.

Trumps key attraction to the Roger Stones Elon Musks, Peter Thiels, and Techbros, Putin, Xi, Orban, Erdogan etc.
Is that he is easily controlled, by money and appealing to his narcissism.
Roger Stone said this publicly that he easily controlled Trump,
and Trump gave him a pardon that others did not get.

Dementia will amplify this, as well as making him ideal fallguy should anything go wrong.

So impending Dementia, and total corrosion of his personality by narcissism is an asset.

Like MTG and her Jewish Space Lasers, and that Biden controls the weather, creating hurricanes at will.
Lack of sanity is an asset for GOP, MAGA, Tea Party, Evangelicals etc.

"The difference between crazy and eccentric is about a million dollars."

Idi Amin: Wiki

Idi Amin Dada Oumee was a Ugandan military officer and politician who served as the third president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. He ruled as a military dictator and is considered one of the most brutal despots in modern world history.
...
During Amin's time in power, popular media outside of Uganda often portrayed him as an essentially comic and eccentric figure.

One good reason to not vote for a third-party candidate in the US (as per 2016):

Don't blame third party voters. Blame the stunningly stupid electoral system in America.

Yes absolutely blame third party voters and especially a 'vacant' leader Stein.
In a FPP race where they are single digit % points.
Especially where there are positons in State Legistlatures and Congress to go for that are more realistic targets.

Why spend your precious resource on being a spoiler, 'making things worse' rather than support some progress.
So you would rather have Nothing than Something if I can't have Everything, Spoiled Children !

Trump was well known calamity first time around and this time orders of magnatude more.
There was even a meeting that celebrated that they could stop Harris with Stein smiling.

Is anyone asking where all the money is comming from for such a destructive campain of course not.
Roger Stone is almost laughing himself to death over this I bet.

We talk about Trump's enablers being just as bad if not worse and Stein is a Trump enabler.

I agree with your point, but think it would be an uphill climb to get the US to change its election system nationwide - I believe Republicans would be very strongly against it, as any other system (MMP, for example, like we use) would not favour their electoral prospects.

I wasn't proposing a solution, just stating the problem.

I had to laugh when I watched that earlier. Its like what the....

I think Obama works, Im not so sure about Clinton down south. But the Blue wall is crumbling while the sunshine states do the same. Im hoping the Biden planned ground game is working for Harris as we speak. a poll saying Don by 3% means nothing if Harris gets 10% more votes, Its close enough with the right tun out to vote for a landslide. I think now its simply about making sure people in those 7 states, or more, get out to vote.

People would still have to vote Trump though, I cant see Greenies voting for a guy who doesn't believe in climate change and wants to drill baby drill :-)

But Steins arrogance in suggesting their is now lesser of two evils is insanely naive for somebody involved in a potential solution..

Good to see UaW boss Shawn Fein get behind Harris with the lost man bumbling his way with a divided Teamsters, who knows it could be 50/50 with them by now.

Finally she goes to his strongest weakness, his health, specifically wanting a Psych evaluation Im sure. Which many medical professionals are calling for, both candidates to have an independent full medical assessment.

Hes trying to avoid it, with his voice, Stephen Cheung, rattling off how he is in excellent physical health and cognitively good, then attacking Harris ability to conduct her campaign lol.

I forget the exact numbers, possibly 1/4 of campaign events as Harris and compared to 2016.

They are coming out in numbers to sound the alert to Trump's cognitive decline. Lets hope its not too little too late?

any thoughts on Jill Biden campaigning for Harris next week?

Bill Clinton Im a bit suspect on, hes definitely aged, more coherent than Trump but his voice has weakened, Jill seems to have a lot of folks not so fond. To be honest I have no opinion on her rally capability on a topic of interest to me, so will be interesting. But its a shame its not Michelle Obama.
