Parkinson's isn't dementia although it does make life very difficult. In any case the Parkinson's is just a rumour.

Article: Speculation has also been fuelled by the fact legislation introduced by Putin is currently being rushed through parliament, to guarantee immunity from prosecution and state perks for former presidents, for life.

Mr Trump can only dream of that one..

It says a lot when the only reference the article points to is The Sun...

There's no mention of anything like this anywhere else. There's however mention of a couple of laws being passed this week to make sure Russian ex-Presidents are immune to prosecution.

It’s being reported in quite a few International News sites now. Origin is credited to New York Post on Oz news. The typical symptoms of twitching and restless movements certainly appear to point towards Parkinson’s.

Hence the question mark in the subject line.

The idea had come up before...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Yeltsin

After the Mabtex corruption scandal.
""
President Yeltsin resigned a few weeks later on 31 December 1999, appointing Vladimir Putin as his successor.
President Putin's first decree as president was lifelong immunity from prosecution for Yeltsin
""

Given the number of extrajudicial killings, aside from the Polonium and Novichok to send a specific message.

Maybe you have been super confident.
It may have been a matter of pride, with the inherent power it would be a sign of weakness ?

Trumps position and increasing talk immunity, may have also triggered, oh yes I was so busy forgot about that, do I really need to ?
I would expect that he has made sure that his enablers and supporters are in control, shared aims and responsibility.
Then maybe he is seeing that many are self serving fools who will leave the doors unguarded, given unrest has been suppressed but not gone away.
