My sister can’t dial our number from Auckland I’m in Napier, tested it it receives local calls ok but won’t receive national calls from family, it b3 interesting if my cousin in Wellington will be able to dial us.
Anyone else with voyager with same problem?

I have a Voyager connection and it is working no problems.

Please contact Voyager and get them to check - since you've got one of their routers they should be able to log in remotely to check the settings, you'll also need to provide some examples to them.

Cheers @RunningMan, thanks for the ping.

@koolme2 - have you lodged a fault with the helpdesk team? - if there is, can you PM me the details.

If you haven't lodged a fault, please do so - for call routing issues we need a ticket to track.
You will need the following info:

 * A Party (who called you)
 * B Party (your number)
 * Timestamp (not 100% required, but helpful)

Once you have lodged that fault, PM me the details and I'll keep on top of it.

As suggested in @pctek's other ticket, there is likely a call routing issue with her provider.
We'll just need to prod them to update their call routing (they should do it automatically, but sometimes things get stuck)

@michaelmurfy - can you wield the moderator stick and edit those personal details out for @koolme2 please :)

@koolme2 - I've had a Voice engineer look over it, and his test (using a Spark landline also) appeared to work fine.
There is still a possibility that it's an issue on @pctek's exchange - so only affects her/that exchange.

We can run the porting process again to see if that resolves it, which will notify Spark again. But we will need a fault lodged to do so.
Give the Helpdesk team a call on 0800 4 SPEED and get it lodged accordingly.

Alternatively, @pctek could ring Spark herself and advise she cant get to the B-Party - and they can look into it from their side.

The hell there is.

I can ring 8421zzz

He is 8421xxx

I can ring all over Hawkes Bay.

Hi pctek,

Thank you for contacting Spark via email, sorry to know about this issue.

06-842-1xxx

If you are able to ring a different number from your phone but not the number above, then most likely either the user of the number above blocked your number from calling it or there is something wrong on their line blocking your call from reaching that number, either way, if you are able to make and receive other phone calls from your number then that only confirms that your line is working fine.

Thanks

This is why I went off you guys, every issue, not so much that there may be an issue, but your cop-out responses.

Blame every one else, not our fault, and we have to do the figuring out for you?

There were issues at first, he reported every little step of his entire build and setup to me.....ok it's all good now except this...well as far as we can tell now, who knows if others can ring...but really? My landline hasn't had any issue in 13 months since my install, I can ring anyone...and have - see other thread - don't pass the buck to me.

Hi @pctek,

I'm not going to respond to your every point here - others have already done so in previous posts (cross threads too), but you don't care to listen to them either.

I can assure you, we are trying to assist, we are not fobbing off anything here.
I have passed on the relevant information to your brother to proceed with a fault - to date, I don't believe he has done so.

Once a fault is lodged, we can proceed with a full troubleshooting/investigation procedure.

He tells me he has gone back to you several times.

Your lot actually rang me....and said we understand you have a problem.

No I don't. He does.

Yes the number you mentioned, I can ring.

Every other website I have read shows solutions involving the other end, not the callers.

Come on....

ONT is not involved in the routing of phone calls.

I'm locking this as it is going nowhere.

Voyager are only trying to help - there is no need for this. They're the ISP and know what the fault is, there is no need to chime in and tell them they're doing their job incorrectly. Call routing is complex and you're both wrong here.

Let Voyager deal with it and if you have any questions then please contact them directly via their official support channels. This is not an official support forum for them and @VygrNetworkMonkey is only trying to help.

Edit: The issue has now been resolved:

koolme2:

Spark fixed it manager contacted me and said it was there fault hence why some phone numbers not got through, manager was real nice person to help. they credited me for al the trouble,

Thank you guys for all the hard work and frustrating process. All is running good now

Tony
