I have two currencies in my Wise, Aus and NZ. When the $ exchange was better I put an amount in my Aus Wise jar for the next trip however I’ve just realised that you can’t spend from the jar using cards.

My account looks like this NZ$ account $10,      Aus$ account $zero,     Aus Jar $20

I have money in my NZ$ account now and money in my Aus Jar. When we go away I want to use my Oz money not the NZ$. How do I manage this?

I’ve got virtual cards on the phone plus a physical card. Does physically being in another country automatically trigger the use of money from that country's currency?

So I transfer the money out of the Aus jar into the Aus$ account, that seems logical, but when spending in Australia how does the card know which currency to pull from since I will have both and the main one first in the list is NZ$

Also does moving from jar to $ account trigger fees because if it does there’s not much point storing in jars.

The Wise card will be registered on a cruise where the ship works in Australian dollars so want to be prepared. Hope my explanation is not too convoluted

Not sure about the Jar question, but Wise will take the currency you're spending in first.

So, if you're buying something and they're charging you AUD, and you have a balance in your AUD wallet, it'll take that first.
