Received the following at work today.  ANZ Direct Online uses NPAPI which Google has been deprecating for some time.  Does anyone have an opinion as to whether the use of NPAPI is a reason to move away from this online banking service?
Cheers
Gareth

Hi

We're getting in touch to recommend that you use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox instead of Google Chrome to access ANZ Direct Online.

This is because Google will no longer support the NPAPI plug-in for the Chrome browser from September 2015. This means that you'll be unable to make batch payments, print certain batch reports or access your database of payee templates when using Google Chrome.

Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox will enable you to use all the functions within ANZ Direct Online successfully. If you’d like some tips on how to download one of these browsers, check out our browser download information sheet for ANZ Direct Online at www.anzdirect.co.nz/browser.

This change only affects the desktop version of ANZ Direct Online; it does not impact ANZ Direct Mobile. If you want to manage your payments and transactions when you're on the road, check out the video of how you can use ANZ Direct Mobile on your smartphone at www.anzdirect.co.nz#smartphone.

Please share this message with any other people in your business or organisation who also use ANZ Direct Online.

If you have any questions, you can contact the ANZ Direct Online Support team on 0800 269 347 from 7.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday, or email directonlinesupport@anz.com.

Kind regards

I'd call it a reason for ANZ to update it's technology, and if they fail to do that, then yes move away from their products.

In slightly better news, ANZ at long last are getting rid of their reliance on Java with DirectLink
