Hi All

So i normally like to check my "investments" each morning however over the last couple of months I have notice that my kiwisaver with my provider is not going up with payments deducted from my payslip or employer contribution.

Had a look on kiwisaver.govt.nz / ird.govt.nz website and they are not showing any payments from my wage or employer contribution for May/June.  This use to get updated each month.

Anyone else notice this?  Seems to have started after the ird system upgrade.  Talked to work and they did confirm they are sending them to IRD.

Was going to be my next plan, i hear there is a 3 week wait for emails to them.  Just wanted to know if anyone else can check their kiwisaver via kiwisaver.govt.nz and see if it's just me.

From the IRD/KiwiSaver website, May is the last month which looks fine to me but June is missing Employer contribution and deductions. Is this the same as what you're seeing?

It's not just you.

On the IRD site, the last "Employer Contribution" I can see is April, last "Deductions form Salary/Wages" is May. Both of those have then shown up on my Kiwisaver provider statement in June and July respectively.

I'm the same. The IRD website only has employer and wage deductions from May, however my kiwi saver provider shows transactions in June.

I have also checked the provider and the only transactions is interest from IRD (less than $2) being paid in for June.  The govt website does show my members tax credits from the government ($521) and that is showing as pending with my provider.

I'll give it till the end of this month and then might give IRD a call and ask what is going on.  I would be making a lot more money if the funds were sitting in my provider and not with ird who only do interest at less than 1%

My Kiwisaver provider shows the payments that show on IRD April/May coming through in June/July, but neither shows anything newer than the April/May payments into IRD, so there is definitely a backlog somewhere in IRD.

Read the faq’s. IRD reserve the right to take up to 3 months to get the money into your transaction account. This behaviour is up and down, but old news.

Doesn't really specify if all contributions take three months to process. I am in same boat my contributions are showing in myir not provider yet work says it's paid. Given it's monthly filling for my employer both contributions should be showing. I have emailed IR and waiting for a reply hopefully before their IT teams finsh their restucture there is so much indvidual IP there a lot of staff that understand how it works are leaving or have left already

All main tax processing moved to the new system in April, but kiwisaver is one of those tack-ons that will move next year. I imagine reconciliation between the old and new system is now not working well.

As long as the money is turning up in your kiwisaver providers system, then at least you arent missing out.

I have 100 staff on my payroll. Ever since KiwiSaver started, it has been pretty variable when the contributions get posted to an individual’s account. Sometimes happens very regularly and in a few weeks, sometimes can take a couple of months.

You may not know, but there is a reconciliation step that happens to (my words) match the monies received from the employer and reconciled to the employee’s ird account. I have an unproven theory there is a manual step in that process and sometimes they get some issue to resolve, and fall behind in the reconciliation.

The issue flares up, then contributions catch up, then another issue flares up etc.

Thus the 3 month window. Just be patient.
