smac: Sometimes pixelation, sometimes a refresh issue like a poorly encoded rip without enough key frames: ie only the pixels that contain movement are updated.
In either case it's only for a second or two then comes right.
rickdry: This may help you go into catalyst control panel and turn off all video enhancements but particularly enforce smooth video .....
cheers Rick
mm1352000:
The fact that your problem seems to be system wide and that the NV card made a difference makes me think video card, but it could be a number of things in combination. I'm using Catalyst 10.4 with my HD 4670.

sbiddle: It's sad to see ATI still can't get their hardware and drivers working 3 1/2 years after first being told about the issues. NZ's not even semi unique in terms of H.264 now.
Ragnor:
They've fixed it and broke it again multiple times in different driver revisions, it's weird.
smac: As above though, mine is same symptoms, Intel CPU and integrated graphics.....
AllenG: Is there a newer version than 10.4 where H.264 works properly?

mm1352000: Now you know why I stay on 10.4. I just don't need the headaches.
Like I said to you in my first response, the versions since ***11.4*** have been bad (ie. 11.4 is the last known good version). You responded and said you'd tried 11.5, 11.6 and 11.8 - all bad. Did you not read what I said carefully enough?
