NZtechfreak:
networkn: By chance does anyone have the the Gustard H10 AMP I could borrow? I'd really like to compare it to what I have.

I'm also really wanting to hear this amp.

Hopefully the Dollar improves and I'll pick this amp up when I am in the US in May, if I can't find someone with them sooner, or someone over there who can bring one back so I can save on shipping/duty.

Hmm ... very tempting ...
Had an LCD-2/Fazor, bass didn't go low enough, cans too heavy, sold it, now I'm missing it a lot ...
Keep telling myself it will pass ...

Buy it! Then loan it to me (or just the amp)  :)

If the LCD-2 bass didn't quite satisfy then you need the LCD-4. Had it home for a glorious weekend and the sub-bass foundation is prodigious. Never heard anything like it.

I'm not a car guy, so that seems perfectly reasonable to me :)

$7k for headphones?!? yikes!  Might have to wait for an exchange rate shift.  I've read the LCD4s are amazing though!

They are. Unequivocally the best I have yet heard, although there are a few notable highest-end headphones I have not heard in the HE1000, Stax SR009 and of course the new electrostats the new Orpheus from Sennheiser (a cool $55K) and Shangri-La from HiFiMan (price TBD, anticipated to be in at least the $30K region).

I will have a brief-impressions type review of the LCD-4 up shortly.

I know two not very good choice of music but my terms of bass extension is measured by the slam in my i head(cans) or body (sub) i get from these two:

Sk8ter boi around 20+ hz slam Easter egg
Something on the water around 10hz slam (actually a soft flicker, but i won't know, never had equipment that got that low) easter egg

Can you detect either on the lcd-4? I guess there is 1) ability to go that low and 2) strength of the bass at such low levels.
They both send tingles down my spine.

Nice! I look forward to your review of the LCD4s.  I've love to hear the HE1000's as well.

Yeah the Orpheus is a bit over the top design-wise for me but I'd love to hear it!

Anywhere to audition the TH900s?

Thinking about getting a pair of these or the HD800S.

Looking for my next set of headphones.

I am going to the gym, and also would be good when riding, but I want some wireless, in-ear with controls on them (volume up/down, next song etc.).

I am currently using the iPhone headphones and they are good enough for this task, what should I be looking for with what I want.

Will get around 1-2 hours solid work everyday.

Really don't want to spend too much more than $50 but can stretch if needed.
