Hi

I'm slightly confused over the settings for Soho in MP.  I've got it all setup and it runs fine, except that Soho will crap out sometimes.  For example, this morning it was fine decoding one show that appeared to not be HD but as soon as I wanted to view the game of thrones on set program it refused.

Is Soho in HD?  Is there another Soho channel in SD?  Does anyone know of the actual Soho channel settings?  I've searched Lyngsat and it states that it doesn't exist and their last update was on the 18th April 2012.

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris

SoHo is HD. There is no SD version as far as I'm aware.

There are two SoHo streams, one DVB-S mpeg2 (12295 MHz) and one DVB-S2 H.264 (12331 - I'm not sure about this). Without an mpeg2 stream no SD box could view it and there would be no SD stream for mySky HDi without the ticket.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

There are definitely two SoHo transponders, one for HD and for SD.
Can't remember what they are offhand and they are not listed on lyngsat, not Soho itself anyway.
Pretty sure the HD stream is on one of the existing HD transponders and know for sure the the SD stream is on the same transponder as Kidzone24.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Awesome thanks!  It appears that this transponder isn't on Lyngsat and isn't in MediaPortals Optus D1 list!

I stand corrected. Should have checked the NIT first, sorry!
I've emailed Lyngsat and FastSatFinder (MediaPortal tuning detail source) about that.

Not quite. Change symbol rate to 22500 and Inner FEC Rate to 3/4. Modulation should stay as "not set".

PS: Lyngsat updated, but no response from FastSatFinder yet.

Thanks mm, that found it. I thought this was an FTA channel :( Got my hopes up there! :p

Hi again everyone

FastSatFinder have added the 12295H transponder now. Unfortunately they didn't add the 12671H transponder as I requested (and they didn't respond to me), so I'm going to try and contact them again.
