I have been having an issue with the video feed from Sky thru the STB and HVR-4400 TV card, after thinking that the issue seemed to be somewhat regular I got my stop watch out and sure enough every 63 seconds the stutter/pixelation happened so I googled 63 seconds and interference. The common theme seemed to be the wireless card or USB adaptor. I was looking thru some settings under wireless connections and found "adaptor properties" in advanced options there is a config option with scan valid intervals which was set to 60, which means 60 seconds, so I changed it to 20 and sure enough the interference happened every 22 seconds, unfortunately you can't set this to a rediculously high amount, like 12 hours or anything like that as the max setting is 120.

Does anyone know how to hack/edit the registry to allow you to enter a setting that of 43,200 or higher, so far I have turned off the WLAN Autoconfig but really want to have the wireless card working just not scanning  automatically.

I haven't tried this yet but I read recently on this and the solution was to disable WLAN background scans.
