How many times have you tried it?

LoadMXF, which is a Microsoft utility, can sometimes fail and when you run it again it is OK.

Just twice, same error both times. I can give it a break, reboot and try later if you think that will help.

Reboot might fix it. Also ensure WMC is not loaded.

If it still fails you might need to do a recovery of the WMC database.

There is virtually no documentation on this utility and no support from Microsoft.

SJB, you are a genius, thats the 2nd time you've helped me. For anyone else who has this issue, I left the machine overnight, rebooted it, ran EPG collector (before running WMC) and it worked a charm.

On a side note is there any way to make EPG collector load the program categories through the DVBT signal? I see they come through the EIT signal and work in the guide ( but that is ofcourse now disabled.)

There are no categories in the MHEG5 data you get on terrestrial. They are present in the EIT data on terrestrial but you only get now/next not the full guide.

You could try enabling the metadata Lookup feature in EPG Collector. That will categorize the programs it adds data to so you will see categories listed in WMC. It will colour code movies correctly but not other programs yet as the mapping between the database categories and those expected by WMC is not in place yet.

If you do use the Lookup feature make sure you read the section in the ReadMe about it first.
