I have a Panasonic SD50Z TV and Yamaha 673 AV Amp connected via an HDMI cable.   I have MySky hooked up to the AMP
If I switch the TV on first, then the AMP, I get MySky Sound through the AMP fine.

If I switch the amp on first, I get the MySky Sound, but it cuts out when I turn on the TV!

I assume it is something to do with HDMI control on the TV and or AMP but have change setting with little result?

Turn off all your HDMI control functions on the TV...
Also, what HDMI port are you plugging into on your Panasonic TV?

TV is recess wall mounted and hard wired via cat6 and 1 hdmi cable back to amp. I am using hdmi2 on TV
I need the TV to output video and sound back to amp to play movies off my home network via flan.
To get this to work I appear to need the Tv to have hdmi enabled do it will output the audio to av4 on the amp!

I also have a pannie TV and yamaha receiver. I seem to remember there was something around ARC I turned on on the receiver and then set tv to "home cinema" to get things working. I still have the occasional problem in that generally when I turn the TV on the receiver turns on too and all is good - sound from TV, HTPC and xbox plays through the reciever. But on the odd occasion the reciever doesn't turn on and the TV then automatically flicks back to the TV speakers and I have to go into the viera settings and turn it back to "Home Cinema" - It only happens very occasionally and never actually happens to me - usually the kids or mrs.  The sound does keep working of course, but the horrible tinny sound from the tv always annoys me ;-)
