So had and old Roku a year or so ago mainly for Plex. Im sure I used to be able to add channels to it via the website.

Now keen to get a Roku 3 as have heard for Plex its much faster (old one was to slow for me) but cant seem to add channels from the web.

I have a US Roku account setup but using NZ credit card. Also using Tunnel Bear while logged on. But when I try to add any new channel like Spotify get a message saying "We're sorry. At this time, we don't support adding channels from the web for your region.""

How do you get around this, or will Roku still let me download channel on the Roku itself. I just don't want to get one if I cant add channels.

Is there an easy fix for this, or what am I missing.

The Roku 3 needs to resolve via a US DNS server. You need to get setup on something like unblock-us - you may need to factory reset, update your external DNS and recreate your Roku account.

this is a slap in the face!
