Hi, I have successfully DIY installed my satellite receiver but I am unable to figure out how to record one channel on my dvd recorder while watching other channels without having to revert back to vhf/uhf. I am using a zinwell ZDX7000 receiver with a transonic dvd recorder(with no HDD). Any help would be much appeciated.
Unfortunately you cant. As the satellite receiver is the tuner and cant output two different signals, you will have to use your vhf/uhf to watch and record different channels or get a second receiver
