i bought an avermedia tv tuner (a188d) an was under the impression that the remote and receiver was MCE compatible....but MCE does not respond at all to the remote.

the IR receiver plugs to the tuner card and the avermedia software responds to the remote but nothing else...any ideas to get this to work under MCE or do i have to buy a MCE remote and ir reciever like an HP one for instance and bin the AVermedia remote/receiver??

looking at this page: http://www.avermedia.eu/avertv/FR/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=445&tab=APDriver it would seem that there is a separate IR Driver you need to install to make it work.  Does the driver at the following link help: http://www.avermedia.eu/avertv/FR/Support/DownloadCount.aspx?FDFId=1562 ?

thanks for that. i'll try the other drivers and see how it goes. If all else fails i'll just grab an HP remote/receiver off ebay.
