Hi all, anyone using (or used) any Emotiva gear? specifically their power amps. I've got the itch for an upgrade and I'm considering going pre+power instead of just upgrading one AVR to another. Emotiva seem to have a pretty good rep, and what you get for the price looks pretty compelling!

I'm using an Emotiva UMC-1 processor and an Emotiva XPA-5 amp that I bought direct a couple of years ago. Using them with Polk speakers for home theatre and they sound great! After doing lots of research, this combination was the best bang for my $$$ I could find (given 200w/rms/channel from the amp)
Dealt with Emotiva staff via email to import them with no hassles - great service.

Have had a number of their amps, great quality and they look awesome.

Would recommend waiting until the black Friday sale or thanks giving, they have some pretty big discounts that are worth waiting for.

Hi, thanks for the replies. Good thinking about the black friday sales, didn't think of that!

Glad to hear experiences are positive here as well, they seem incredible value.

Great customer service too. Have bought 3 amps from them and never had a bad thing to say.
