Hi Guys & Girls,

Looking for some advice on TV Video Senders,  putting a piece of Gym Equipment in a spare room and looking to put a Small TV in there as well , presently no cabling and not really wanting to put any in, have a Sky Unit on the other Side of the wall and was wondering if there are any reasobnable quality Video Senders that are here locally that anyone would recomend.

Cheers

Jaycar do some 5.8Ghz ones, but they are not cheap.

You may be ok with 2.4Ghz if the distance is short and your microwave oven is miles away from the reciever, but whatever you do, buy from somewhere with a good return policy since I know more people with failures then success on 2.4Ghz senders.

if you have a wi fi network, forget it, they get bad interference on both audio and video. The units run in the 2.4ghz range also and are just analog.

If you are looking for one just to go a foot through a wall, it might be okay if you can keep it away from the wi fi.. Make sure you get one that you can return for a refund just in case.

I run the DSE unit 2.4GHz. Cordless phone ruined the picture, so changed toa  DECT phone (1.9GHz).

I have used several WiFi routers within 5m of the sender, and no issues at all.

DSE has a good retun policy, you can get a refund if its no good.

You can not beat a cabled solution. As the above have mentioned there are many types of interference's that can affect your picture quality the type of building you are is is also a factor to consider aswell as distance.
