My TV manual says to use the latest high speed HDMI cable with CEC. Is there a way to tell if an existing cable meets these requirements?
If I have to purchase, any suggestions? Just connecting TV to Panasonic Home Theatre.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Plug the cable in. If it works, it's the right cable. If not, go buy another one. I'd be surprised if it didn't work.

Most HDMI Cables in the last 5 years should work just fine for short lengths .. don't get sucked in buying a $400+ HDMI Cable :-). I have about 20 HDMI Cables at various lengths/makers at home and they seem to all just work the same.

Yes cheap ones do go wrong/do strange things if you are plugging/unplugging all the time (connectors get worn out) and bending all the wires moving them all the time but most people will plug in once and just leave.

After you take the cables out of the packaging I've found that most have no identification on them. Just try what you have at the moment.

Even non high speed ones seem to be fine for 1080p 60 over 1.5m or so.

Worst case you get dropouts or sparkles.

All the ones I have are labeled high speed hdmi with ethernet along the cable jacket with the branding and all the other number stuff they insist on printing on cables.
