If I have one of these, does it have 3 batteries in it?

Jase2985: the spec sheet says
UPS1000HB - 3PCS 12VDC/7Ah

So that means 3 batteries doesn't it?

Pity it doesn't give their physical sizes.

The 12v7AH are a pretty standard size no matter which brand.

It's not very difficult to take one apart and measure the actual size, just be careful, UPS's bite even when unplugged

Yeah that's what I'll have to do.  I saw in the other thread that century batteries may be a good place?

I've got the 1000D version which is just two batteries

http://www.kebopower.com/en/ShowProd.asp?ID=1292

Surprised they can fit 3 batteries in that chassis.

Need to pickup some replacement batteries myself. The current ones I'm using are RT1270

I might have been looking at the wrong one.  Seems there's two 1000 labelled UPS devices.

UPS1000HB 1000VA 750W - dimensions - 145 x 400 x 220mm - 3 batteries @ 12VDC 7AH - back up time at 1/2 load ~15mins
UPS1000 1000VA 600W - dimensions - 120 x 300 x 190mm - 2 batteries @ 12VDC 7AH - back up time at 1/2 load >10mins

different products and i may be incorrect but it doesnt look like the UPS1000 is in stock or being sold at many places

there is a UPS1000A as well which is slightly different to the UPS1000, mainly in looks and dimensions

I've bought a battery from Natbat, good service. Interested in the result, I'll need to do it some time.

If you take the UPS apart and it meets size and electrical requirements, sure. I got the Panasonic version, just because I know the brand.

davidcole: So theoretically these would work in my case? http://www.natbat.co.nz/ups-batteries/batteries/?Product=61466&item=PowerSonic+12v+7%2E0Ah+UPS%2FGeneral+Purpose+Battery

yes like has been said twice before 12v7ah batteries are pretty much all the same size.

"and the batteries are pretty standard in size, 92H x 151L x 65W mm +/- a few mills"

the space in the ups will be able to accept slightly bigger or smaller ones.

Be aware also that there are two terminal sizes.
