Hey guys,

realized I should probably get around to getting something proper to run my AKG K7xx's with, so after a bit of investigation, I'm leaning towards an ODAC+O2 Amp, or Schiit Modi 2 + Magni 2. Cheapest I've been able to find them for is about $370 NZ, direct from Schiit. Anyone know of anywhere local who might be able to beat it (the shipping is like $60 US), or any potentially good alternatives that are available locally? The AKGs supposedly do well with a bit of power behind them, which is why I'm looking at the Schiit Stack.

$60 shipping is not too bad. I purchased Schiit Vali from the company directly couple of years and shipping was around $25 for 1 unit.

Do whatever you want to do man.

I'd take Schiit over the others. $370 doesn't seem unreasonable at all.
