hey guys 




just giving heads up to any onkyo tx-nr646  owners new firmwares out that finally gives you dts:X  ,its been a good 5 months + wait for it


i updated it online ,worked fine, took about 20 minutes  


even thou there's only hand full  with dts x soundtracks ,i ve tried "gods of egypt " on it , works well a amber light will show up on the receiver.


as for sound quality vs atmos hard to tell but  seems to be more powerful base with atmos (or could be the movie  itself ) 


while dts X seems give more height sound etc......

I haven't yet tried DTS-X with my Denon but have lots of Atmos disc's 😎
