Anyone know where to get one of these from?

Seems like a good replacement for fire TV's. I'm digging Android tv in my Sony tv, but don't want to replace every tv in my house ;)

http://www.mi.com/en/mibox/

No buy link on that website I could find

Google play movies, lightbox all, better search and interface. H265. Fire tv 2 does h265 as well, but not first gen or first tv stick.
Fire TV's are good, I just prefer Android tv

Just having a look at it on YouTube, also looks like I can use an ethernet USB hub so similar to fire tv.

got the order to work from that website, didnt like my firstname NZ12345678 (youshop name), but error said "Surname must be in English" (that was my first name).  The suite on address line 2 contains that number anyway, hopefully delivery works out.

but yeah, if anyone knows how to order that exact model (there are different mibox's out there with same name but older model, just to confuse you) let us know.  cheapest android tv device I found with decent specs.

I'll be interested to know if it changes to 4K mode when it detects a 4K stream like the Fire TV or if its like the Roku and runs at 4K all the time doing its own upscaling of 1080p content. Personally I found the upscaling in the Roku to be pretty average especially compared to my Sony TV.

won't be using it on a 4k TV :)

my 4k TV has android tv built into it.  I am interested to see how well games perform on it.  My new sony bravia is pretty average when it comes to the android tv games.  was very disappointed with this.  spend $3.6k on a TV and they put in average parts.  Lesson learnt.  wont use it heaps now, but I see android tv becoming quite popular gaming wise, esp with things like in home streaming with moonlight etc.

I ordered one yesterday via Ebay Aus. There's a few sellers at around NZ $150 including postage. Got a message this morning to say it has been sent.

The seller on Ebay AUS was regainthestyle...still has more listed. USPS tracking was excellent....17 updates showing every step of the journey.

I've had a quick play...really nice little device.

Aliexpress has them, with free shipping to NZ\

Looks like they will be going on special in a few days. I am very tempted to get one. Testing a Nvidia Shield TV in the bedroom at the moment and loving it. Planning to move the Shield into the living room to take over from the HTPC, and need something to replace it and the new Mi Box is ideal.

I am considering getting one of these to replace my Chromecast 2 (of which, keeps rebooting at the moment) - how do people find them?
