Hi everyone.

What programs are the best to use to analyse fps, cpu, gpu usage etc?

I used fraps for fps but I think it only goes up to 30fps. I used fanspeed for the cpu usage. Haven't as yett seen how to look at the gpu of the 8600gt.
I am getting about 23% cpu usage with my 8600gt and I thought it could probably be better than that.

Also if I am only receiving a low quality signal on a particular station ie the infamous tv3 is that aerial direction or something else? Allt he other channels are getting 100%

Also on the freeview HD channel I only get audio when the Kordia advertising part comes on. The rest of the demo is silent. Is that normal?

Thanks
Much appreciated. I waded throught the ultimate dtt post to try and get some answers but just ended up getting dizzy.

At 23% CPU usage I'd check whether you have hardware decoding working.  The card supports it but maybe you haven't activated it with PowerDVD?  TV3 especially places a large overhead on your system since it is interlaced.

Hi

Hardware decoding is selected.

I am having real trouble getting performance out of this card.
Could someone help me adjusy the settings etc please?
The only way I can get 50-60 FPS is to change screen resolution to 800x600.

Any less than that and I get jerky images with between 10 and 30 fps.

I have tried downloading and installing Riva tuner and enabling fast write which helped marginally. ATItool didn't work at all so I couldn't try overclocking.

What is the relationship between desktop resolution in windows vista, nvidia control panel, riva, mediaportal etc?

My Specs
Asus m2a-vm Motherboard
2 gb ram
8600gt
Vista ultimate
Mediaportal v0.2.3.0
TV server latest version
HVR2200 dual dvb-t tuners.
Cyberlink powerdvd ultra
Nvidia purevideo decoder
