Can the Dish T1020 play back a video file from a flash drive on it's USB port?

 

If yes, what format is recommended ?

Manual says yes :

looks like MKV and MP4 supported from the image on page 28 ..

Thanks for that, hadn't seen a manual before. Very useful..  although picture is a bit different to mine but hopefully

 

all will apply.  Will do some testing...   shame having FAT32  though as video files can be > 2 GB.
