Having a 'mare today.  Had to strip out my hardware to replace a bung chipset fan, put everything back in, rebooted and XP went off and did a hardware driver update thing.

As far as I can tell it only updated the nVidia Forceware drivers but now when running MP RC1.0 I can't watch live TV without severe tearing.  Shows record and play back just fine, this is only on the live (and timeshifted) stuff.

Dead strange, in fact watching a preview in the TVServer config runs just fine as well.

Any thoughts on how to diagnose or resolve this?

Windows hasn't defaulted back to the standard display or mainboard/chipset drivers or something like that perhaps??

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

I'd suggest completely uninstalling and reinstalling the latest graphics drivers.

SORTED!

Bad case of not going back to my roots as a network engineer and applying principal one of networking - check your cables.

This was a harsh 4 hour lesson in just how susceptable Freeview is to poor signal quality.  I had knocked a diplexor and booster unit whilst reinstalling the machine into the cabinet.  The signal quality degraded and became unwatchable on TV1, 2, 3 & Freeview HD.

Doh!

Lesson Learnt: Always check the connections, that the booster is turned up and that you haven't hadn't any extra splitters or the like into the chain.
