What are a known good combination that will play the resulting .ts files from gbpvr in mediaplayer classic?

VLC gives me sound, but a no good image, and it crashes after 10 seconds.

coreavc it sort of plays ok, but its choppy on tv3.

If I set it to use the cyberlink one, its crap, with video speeding up and slowing down.

And ffdshow - well thats no good at all.

And I cant get sound from mediaplayerclassic at all. the halli splitter doesnt even show audio in it.

I've tried with many combinations to get sound in Media Player Classic but failed. Don't think it works.

I managed to get playback in graphedit, using the gbpvr source, it used the mpeg2 splitter when I dragged it to the video renderer so I think that its a halii problem.

Still not working in gbprv properly tho, audio sync goes way out and then catches up all the time, never quite getting in sync properly.

Ive given up on trying to use live tv for now, this is just playing back recordings I have made.

Also, there seems to be excessive edge enhancement going on, notice it badly in the recording I got off one news at 4:30 - cant really tell on the interlaced channels since they look bad all the time, but it seems that something somewhere is trying to sharpen up the image. Is this present in the broadcast from tvnz as a problem with their upscaling, or is it one of the filters locally doing it. I dont have a real HD box here to test, and since I dont have a hdmi to vga converter, wouldnt be able to anyway since i have no hdmi lcds here to try it on.
