i have seen other tvs that are not veon in youtube clips and other places and they all seem to have the same user interface and veon tv some even look almost the same of not the same as the veon tv

its been a while now so i can't remember the brand names of the tvs i saw but are they just making a whole bunch of tvs in the same factory and sticking different brand names on them?

i remember back in early 2000's somebody telling me that transonic tvs where made in the same factory as Panasonic tvs and just rebranded as transonic but im not sure if that is true

Lot of brands out there which are produced by same factory, not just TV's.  Was looking at video cameras years ago, found a Panasonic one, and while talking to the sales guy, he looked around and said "want to save a few dollars and get a free dvd player?"

He grabbed a Hitachi branded one and handed it to me with the Panasonic - they were EXACTLY the same except the branding. Same specs, menus, everything. For about $150 cheaper.

Guess which I bought....

Badge engineering... pretty common everywhere, even amongst "respectable" brands,

and no this is not a "fan" creation, its a "real" Honda Crossroad.... made in Solihull England...

A Honda What?

I had found the OEM for some of the veons back when I was hunting down details on the service menu of it. Had some generic sounding asian company name.

Also that menu is the one from the manufacturer of the controller chips, which is why you will see it on different TVs from different factories. Unless you decide to customize it with your logos and change things around, you get what the chipset has.

Back in the day, was it BASF that made ALL audio/videotapes or was it JVC?
