Ok there are or were a couple of NUCs being sold on geekzone

And i am looking for a box that will show everything i want, as in Netflix/Amazon/ TVNZ/ChoiceTV without having to faff around with multiple different boxes, all the aforementioned services run on Windows 10 so i was wondering would a NUC be fine to run them on, i have no interest in 4K video just the bog standard whatever it is i currently get

It would be, depending on your expectations of how to control it. Would you be happy using a wireless keyboard/mouse?

Yes, very good.

I was using a nuc for a long time, but moved to an asrock deskmini which is very similar.

For input I use a microsoft wireless keyboard with built in trackpad.

Make sure the nuc supports your video requirements, eg, I need 4k 60p, but some nucs my only output up to 4k 30p.

For movie playback, I use vlc or plex. VLC is more reliable.

You also need to enabe hardware video decoding on vlc (built into intel graphics), otherwise you'll get choppy playback on ultraHD.
