Anyone know the approximate cost of having an Amazon fire stick 4K shipped to NZ via Youshop? They seem like excellent VFM depending on how much it would cost to get one shipped here.

Thanks!

You could also get them from https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=firetv&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=

as well.

Prices vary for NZ delivery from $US12 to $US51.

I just bought one from here

shipped to Youshop so I guess I will find out how it will cost. Can't be much I hope and anyway I bought some small headphones also to be shipped to Youshop so hopefully I can save via consolidation.

My 4K one arrived today, shipping is $16 with YouShop using the economy option. Just make sure you don't spend more than $40 US on them as they're often down to that price!

Thanks for the info guys. I'm specifically going for the current Fire Stick 4K Rather than the Fire TV 4K (the pendant shaped one) as the stick supports Dolby Vision. Are you seeing the 4K stick under $40 or do you mean the previous generation one?

Cheers!

Yeah they had $10 off the new Fire Stick 4K a few weeks ago so if you’re prepared to wait a few weeks I’m sure they’ll put it on special again https://camelcamelcamel.com/Stick-all-new-Remote-streaming-player/product/B079QHML21

I got confused between the two models because I have both. I bought this item because a regular firestick I have in another house is really sluggish and the 4K ones are much more responsive. And it was really cheap. Dolby Vision was not a factor for me.

Hey mates!

Good timing! I have been online and looking at buying Firestick 4k as my old Samsung Smart TV is not that smart anymore. I've spent a lot of time choosing between Roku and Firestick. Found out that Roku don't do IPTV anymore (from a post I've read).

Thanks for the price tip. I've set an alert on Camelcamelcamel for $40. I will wait. Youshop address already setup. If I buy two, you reckon it will be over $16? I haven't used youshop in the past. How do you choose economy? I will try to read about it too after this.

Lastly, for the setup, I am going wireless unless 4k would be too much and will buffer. Will probably get a 3rd party usb adapter to check if wired makes a difference. My question is on the power plug. Which adapter did you guys get? Can I power it through USB port behind the TV?

Cheers guys!

Look forward to your replies.

(Oh lastly, how do I buy off that link through Geekzone? I clicked it and it brought me to that Amazon firestick page. Will I stay on it after clicking the products??

If you visit Amazon through one of the Geekzone links (all Amazon links automatically have our aff code added) then you have 24 hours to buy and that will be attributed to us - we will receive a commission.  If you want to buy something else later, click on any Amazon link on the page and you will again be taken to Amazon and will be attributed to us. You can do this any time for any product - land on on one product page but navigate around Amazon and it is all attributed.

Thanks!

Got it. Just need to go through the Geekzone - Amazon link first then navigate from there. I will do that when the stick goes down to $39USD. Thanks Admin.

For those of you that have set up Fire TV 4K in NZ, did you have to use a proxy server to get access to decent content?
