Hi

Looking to upgrade my old HTPC and considering a Ryzen 5 with onboard Vega 11 graphics. Would be nice to ditch my old HD6450 graphics card and reduce power consumption and run cooler.

Will this processor allow TrueHD/DTS audio bitstreaming/passthrough over HDMI? I can't seem to find any specs on this, except a GPU comparison site that seems to indicates no support.

Thanks

Thanks for testing mrbond666. I figured it must just be an nonissue these days, which is why there isn't any recent discussion to be found. After I last built my HTPC I had to replace my Nvidia graphics card with an ATI from a select list of models when I upgraded my receiver.

After yesterday I also thought I'd check a motherboard manual and found mention of TrueHD 7.1 support under a HDMI interface logo at the back. But it was hard to tell whether that was just a throw away reference from the general interface specification, rather than an actual capability of the board.

I'll give it a go.
Cheers
