Went to digitise some minidisc audio recordings I had made of my grandparents a decade or so ago, only to find that my player is dead.

I was considering buying one on Trademe just to do the transfer, but thought I would try here first - I have got probably a dozen never-used minidiscs I could donate as a thank-you :)

Hey, if you don’t have any luck locally, let me know. I have one I can post you (from Auckland). I’ll dig it out and test if it works.

Hey mate, I've got one. Just need to find it. It might actually be in a box at work though. Send us a PM and we'll sort it out.

I've got one too. And I know where mine is :)

Just PM if needed.

Thanks everyone - I borrowed tanivula's player for a couple of days and managed to transfer all the recordings, as well as some I hadn't remembered making, including my son at around two years old and a couple of evenings at my grandparents.

All now doubly backed up :)
