Hi all, got myself a nice new LG 65 C9 and now worried that my son is gonna damage the screen. Plus I think having a 65" sitting on the ground/cabinet just takes up way too much space.

So, anyway, I need to wall mount it and also work out what to do with the SKY box, PS4, etc that currently reside in the cabinet too. The TV is more or less in a corner.

I don't trust myself to DIY this so looking for any recommendations for someone to help. There is existing wires etc at the "bottom" of the wall for the existing setup, I guess the outlets need to be relocated upwards in the wall though for the new setup.

I'll get them to install a wall mount in the kid's room too while they are here.

I am in Mt Eden and keen to get it done ASAP as my new TV is still in its box while I sort this :D Thanks!

I know you want to get someone in to mount your TV - but I thought you might find these pics useful. This is our 65” C9 that I installed myself a few months ago. We no longer have a Sky box with this TV but it used to sit in the recess in the cabinet - with hidden in-wall cabling up to the TV. We now have a SmartVu connected behind the TV.

There is also a PS4 Pro mounted on the TV mounting bracket behind the TV where it’s invisible from the front - maybe a bit hard to see from the picture.

The cabinet is a self-assembly thing from Freedom Furniture.

Soundbar is Sonos Playbar with two Play Ones and Sonos Sub at the rear.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Even though you probably didn’t buy the TV there, you could try calling Paul Halliwell at AV World (they’re in Mt Eden). He’s bound to know installers.

I'm not sure how mounting it at the correct viewing height is any different to sitting it on the cabinet with the provided straps to hold it in place?
