What remote do you have? By default the MCE remotes (and this probably goes for the Hauppauge ones too) will launch the respective screen in PowerCinema when any of the Recorded TV, Guide, Live TV and DVD Menu buttons are pressed. I never found a solution other than un-installing PowerCinema, however since you probably need the codec I would say there are probably two options:

- find the required .ax file that provides the H.264 codec and register it manually, without installing PowerCinema (may not be possible)
- find the services/regkey/whatever that turns off PowerCinema monitoring the remote, Google should help

Good luck

Yes i have MCE remote. i only use powercinema for drivers as they are the only ones who do HW acceleration on Nvidia 9600GT.

maybe powercinema has a process that is running. If you kill that in startup then it may stop the autoloading. Start -> Run -> "services.msc" or "msconfig"

The other options is to go and delete/rename everything in the powercinema directory except for the codec.dll file. you would have to hunt to see where the codec lives, im not sure if it lives in the powercinema directory or the system32 directory.
