Hello.

I am scoping out replacing an ageing DELL 2400MP data projector (XGA).

I do not want to buy a projector though without trying it out first.

Does anyone know who allows this?

Either in-store or take home on appro?

Thank you.

Bump...

Or maybe someone could recommend a projector for doing powerpoint presentations, and live website demos please.

The laptop we would use with it has a 1920*1080p screen.

The current 720p projector lacks a lot of definition, making websites unreadable for the audience, and photos look indistinct.

Powerpoints look ok so long as no photos or small text.

I can't help with any recommendations sorry, but it might pay to also narrow down a few details like how far away you need to project from, how big the image needs to be, and how bright the rooms are.

That's a tricky one as it's not always the same room.

Our main room however, it would be about 3-4 giant steps, and the blinds can be pulled down, lights turned off, but there is a narrow window across the top which lets a wee bit of light in but it's the south side of the building so not too bright.

The audience is about 30 people on average.

I've never measured the image we currently project but will do next month at our next meeting.

Don't think anyone does a "trial" system, probably best to talk to a company that hires units, and just hire one or a day.
