Hi, I got a HVR-2200 the other day to replace my USB PCTV tuner.
I have it setup, channels mapped to card etc - and live TV is working well for both analog and digital.

What I'm not sure of however is how exactly to setup the priorities and groups for the two tuners so that I can record one analog and one digital channel at the same time.

Can anyone give me some pointers?

There's a MediaPortal Wiki describing how.
But basically you group one -T and one analogue together as a 'card' and the other -T and analogue together as another 'card'. There are in reality only 2 tuners on the HVR2200 but MP sees them as 4 (2T and 2A) so you have to pair them so that it doesn't try to use the same tuner if you are recording Analogue and Terrestrial at the same time.

I had figured that bit out, the problem is that in TV server config there is no indication of which analog and digital tuners* go together... Both Digital tuners* and analog tuners* have the same name..

I've tried to mix and match the combinations but still haven't quite gotten there and wondered if I needed to change "tuner" priorities as well.

*Yes I do realise there are only two physical tuners on this card.

Sorry, didn't mean to treat you like a Noddy.
All I did when setting mine up was assume that MP would recognise T1,T2,A1,A2 in the tuner list in TVServer so paired the first T with the first A, and the second with the second. Didn't cause any lockups but I also have a HVR3000 in the mix.

And I only mapped the analogue channels to the lowest priority card,

So if the they are listed in TV server as
5. DVB-T
4. DVB-T
3. Analog
2. Analog

(where number indicates priority)

then pair 5 with 3 and 4 with 2?

And map analog channels only to 2?

Will give it a go to see how it works out.

EDIT: well didn't that work out brilliantly!! Started recording something on prime then tried to switch to TV1 (on freeview) and got dumped to the TV menu for my troubles (prime still recording though). Need to try some more combinations methinks

Ok, have set up the hybrid groups as above. The reason I had problems was that I had mapped Prime to the wrong analog tuner. Mapping it to the other one did the trick.
I have mapped prime to both analog cards just to avoid any possibility of starting a DVB-T recording THEN switching to prime. It seems to be working both "directions" now.
