EVR = Enhanced Video Renderer.
Chances are you've seen it in discussion with DXVA, which is direct x video acceleration, used to make the graphics card decode video. On vista, EVR must be used for DXVA to work.

SR = Software Renderer?
Not sure on that one, but a software renderer relies on your CPU to decode the video, which results in high CPU usage and likely laggyness.
