Does the Veon 65" 4k TV have built in Chomecast?
Is a dongle required?

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

I doubt it at the price, and I’d imagine they’d use it as a selling point if it did, but have you checked the manual?

Via a search on the Warehouse website I found a model number for this 65” Veon

https://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/p/veon-65-inch-4k-ultra-hd-tv-vn65ing62018/R2547104.html

And searching for that and manual revealed this

https://www.google.co.nz/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjdwM2VyM3rAhURXisKHf45D4IQFjAAegQIAxAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdocs.thewarehouse.co.nz%2Fred%2Fpdfs%2Fces%2Fmanuals%2FSRO654K2016-9400988325002-veon-65-4k.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0ow5aqcq_AH4o2sy3560rz

Not sure it’s the model you’re looking for, but the same means could reveal the right one...

Thanks for the links...
I could not see Chromecast mentioned in a search of the links...
A Warehouse 65" Veon advert a I saw yesterday mentioned Chromecast Ultra compatibility.... but does not say if it is built in, requires a dongle or if an app is required.

Their website says

*Compatible with PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X and Chromecast Ultra*

I would think they mean it has an HDMI port :-)

The vague nature of marketing will happily trap people :-)

And now TWG are moving staff away from working in specialty areas, even fewer people in store will have a clue about the questions customers have.

Excellent...

"Chromecast Compatible" as a selling point?

I've heard it all now.

Do. Not. Buy. A. Veon. Just don't. Calling them the Yugo of televisions would be unfair on Yugo.

If you must buy a cheap Chinese TV this should be better and cheaper

Myself I'd look elsewhere or wait until the Black Friday sales. There's a Panasonic 65FX740Z on Trademe for $1,199 for an example.

I don't think they ever knew. It was in big trouble before corona struck.
