Hi,

I'm setting up my home theatre system and I'm looking for wall plates. I'm after:
  • 7.1 wallplate - to run the speaker connections from the amp to (banana post for front/centre/rears, RCA for sub
  • speaker wall plates 2 banana posts
  • subwoofer plate RCA
  • HDMI plate - to connect on-wall LCD to amp
I've seen some of these on NZ sites, but not the 7.1 or the HDMI. I've seen these two on o'seas sites. I'd also prefer the individual speaker wall plates to be as small as possible.

Anyone have details of an NZ supplier or can otherwise suggest a good o'seas supplier. I'm after reasonable quality plus reasonable price.

Regards, Brendan

Jaycar have decora style plates which you can pop modules into. They have binding posts and RCA passthrus, and RCA to F connectors etc.

There are decora HDMI plates too, so then you just need a 3 gang flushbox (electrical wholesalers can get these as part of the clipsal range still) - not cheap however - and a 3 hole decora coverplate (dont recall seeing them at jaycar however)

Brunzy: You could try here, this may be what you are after

http://www.scottstv.co.nz/Products/Hardware/tabid/1886/language/en-US/Default.aspx

That site seems to not be live - is that a link to a pre-production site or something?

Quite interested in finding a local seller of the pdl600 compatible stuff since I had the runaround from the aussie one I got the last lot from.

Products, then hardware then I get a page of items with nothing clickable except one link at the bottom which goes to a page full of "Hover here, then click toolbar to edit content"

List of items on the left that are not clickable and the whole site is looking like crap with missmatched text and mal-alligned lists.

To me it looks like a first mockup or something.

Thanks! I've found a few via ebay since posting, and this RapalloAV 3 gang plate seems to be very similar to one I found at Selby Acoustics, an Australian site. The major difference seems to be price AU$49.95 vs NZ$135.00!! I'll investigate further. I also like RapalloAV feed thru wall plates, as mine would be hiden behind the TV and the entertainment unit respectively, so this would make the HDMI and any other connections between TV and Amp simple and less likely to fail.
