Naim audio servicing in New Zealand?
Has anyone had any experience with Naim Audio servicing as I believe it has been lost here in NZ.
Need my Naim 200/202 done as has not had a service from new 2003, or any diy experts out there that might offer some advice

The Naim distributor is called BusiSoft, they are based in Australia BUT they have a retail presence that they run in Auckland called Addicted 2 Audio.

I would start with them.

If they prove to have no further advice, I would suggest messaging Naim on their socials for a direct line to their H/O staff.

There's some (in places barely comprehendible) discussion on the Naim forum from last year:

https://community.naimaudio.com/t/what-s-going-to-happen/14482/8

I have no experience of the local guys (my only Naim products currently being a networked Unitiserve and a Muso QB in the bedroom; the Unitiserve needs software updates but because Roon sorts out the missing metadata then functionally it's already had one, and the endless rebooting from burnt software installation CDs each time the software needs updating is pretty unappealing).

Good luck

Try here. I think the owner is heavily involved with bringing Naim into NZ.

Nope- that's the retail front of the old distributor who looked after Naim for over 30 years.

They lost it to an Aussie company called BusiSoft, they own Addicted 2 Audio in Auckland and by default are the people who are expected to have the knowledge / tools to service all your Naim products.

Yeah, it’s a sad situation. Last I heard was that repairs were sent off to Australia. The new distributor was looking as using someone local (who didn’t have Naim experience) but not sure of the latest.

You could check with Real Hifi. They repaired my NDX after they lost the distribution as they still had the parts.

"service"
So whats the issue.
Is it faulty ?

Solid state amps really dont need regular servicing. Oil change not needed :-)
My 20 -30  year old amps still run fine , never been serviced .

PM me your email address and I will find out for you.  I'm in regular contact with the software director in the UK.

Last year I bought a new system. It was Linn v Naim.

My ears fortunately picked Linn! So my stuff probably has to go to Glasgow instead of Salisbury.

Linn is now distributed by the old Naim distributor... so most likely it will have to go to Wellington.
